Phase 1 of our Upgrade Campaign is complete and Phase 2 is underway. As of today we have received $662,276 in pledged commitments, with $443,288 of the $662,276 already received in cash! We will continue collecting pledges in Phase 2 for the next 3 weeks. Thank you so much for support of this ministry endeavor! We are so excited to watch the Lord move in this campaign!
Community of Hope has been blessed beyond measure in both ministry and the facilities to house those ministries. For the last 11 years we have utilized every square inch of our building in pursuit of our mission to “Bring the Good News of Jesus to 1 million unchurched people every 20 years.” Although we stepped away from the constant setting up and tearing down that our church originated with as a church plant, all the main areas of our building have maintained the vision of being multi-use. Our youth and elementary ages currently share our gym space for their ministry. Preschool ages share a space with elementary ages. Our worship center also serves as a meeting area for all sizes of events. Our constant evaluation of building use has lead us to this observation…we are becoming cramped in the areas where our ministry is growing fastest. We believe that a building upgrade is necessary to position Community of Hope for future growth in Kids Ministry and Youth Ministry.
As you prayerfully consider how you can support Community of Hope with this upgrade endeavor, please review the information found on this webpage. Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you for your partnership in ministry!
Community of Hope’s Upgrade will provide solutions for 16 issues we currently face in our building.
4 for our General Building, 4 for Kids Ministry, 4 for Youth Ministry and 4 for our worship center.
General Building Issues:
Problem 1 – Our gym carpet and walls are damaged from use.
Problem 2 – Both Kids Ministry and Youth Ministry don’t have their own locations, leading to weekly set-up in primary ministry locations.
Problem 3 – Our Nursing Mom’s Room is in a problematic location (out of the way and in a Kids Ministry storage area)
Problem 4 – Our information location in our commons area is in need of an upgrade to centralize it for better use.
Problem 1 – Our current staging is too small to be ideal for larger groups and stage design.
Problem 2 – Our staging is often messy due to chords. Our upgrade will allow us to be wireless.
Problem 3 – Our live stream is still standard definition and looks very outdated.
Problem 4 – After 11 years of use we have some important technical gear that is wearing out. We need to new amps and to upgrade our lighting for better stage coverage.
Problem 1 – Rellow, our preschool ministry, has outgrown their space on Wednesday nights.
Problem 2 – Kids Ministry has three set-ups and tear-downs per week.
Problem 3 – We need a more visible and accessible check-in location.
Problem 4 – Wall dividers are used to block off hallways to increase our space available to preschoolers.
Problem 1 – Weekly set-up and tear-downs are necessary to facilitate ministry.
Problem 2 – The room is dark and has poor lighting.
Problem 3 – Wall Dividers are being used for “shrinking” our gym space into a more useful size.
Problem 4 – We need to extend our breakout space for Small Group ministry.
Giving to the Upgrade
The Minimum Goal for our Upgrade Campaign is $400,000, which will allow most of the projects to be accomplished with no long term debt. Our Challenge Goal of $650,000 will allow us to complete all our desired projects, again with no long term debt. Please prayerfully consider how you can support this endeavor as we approach our Commitment Sunday on March 19!
